Dear Baker

In room 1 we have written thank you letters, this is my thank you letter to Baker the coasteering instructor.

Dear Baker,

Thank you for giving up your time to take us Coasteering, you helped me jump off the biggest rock even though my ear was sore. You showed us the tide pools where we looked at sea life and played some games with the Seagrass poppers. Thank you for keeping my group and I safe. Thank you for teaching us all of the dangers and tips of Coasteering ( how to hold our buoyancy aids, how to put on our waterproof vests etc…). You also made the activities fun by telling jokes and playing with us! I really enjoyed going Coasteering and would love to go again!

Kayaking at camp

Kayaking at Tikao bay!

It was a windy afternoon on Wednesday, when the Bell birds and the Fantails (Grace, Jackson, Makkus, Kaileb, Khiara and Saskia) went kayaking at Tikao bay we arrived at 2:00 pm and ended about 3:30 pm. The first activity we did was show the instructor how to paddle in the kayaks. After that we got in our kayaks with a buddy, my buddy was Khiara. We paddled out to the pontoon were we saw some dolphins they were so pretty. then we played a few games, after we had done all that we did a challenge where we had to paddle all the way back to shore and touch the sand then paddle back to the pontoon and jump off, the instructor rated the jump out of ten of how well we jumped I got a seven and Khiara got a five. After all that fun, we headed back to the shore and packed up our kayaks and got in the camp van and went back to the campground. When we got back I got out of my wet clothes and had some afternoon tea. overall I really enjoyed the camp at Wainui a lot and I would love to go back there some day!
